FAQs
Please get in touch with any questions you may have about therapy. Hopefully this page will cover the most frequently asked questions.
How long is each session, and how much do the sessions cost?
All sessions are 50 minutes long, and I charge £70 per session
I offer a free initial 15 phone call to start to explore if I would be the right therapist for you or your child.
How often will the sessions be?
There is no commitment after the initial consultation, and our session frequency and duration is discussed and reviewed regularly. It is recommended that we meet weekly initially for a number of weeks before deciding to move to a less frequent meeting
Can I access therapy through my insurance company?
I am a registered provider of counselling and psychotherapy for notable insurance companies such as BUPA, AXA and AVIVA. Please enquire if your insurance company is not listed as it is likely that I will be able to become a provider
Is there a cancellation charge?
I have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy so that we both respect the therapeutic work we are doing together. I understand that life circumstances happen, and I try to be as flexible with appointments as I can be.
Is therapy confidential?
I have a confidentiality policy, details of which can be found in the contract that you sign before our work commences.
What qualifications do I have?
I have an MSc in counselling and psychotherapy, a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a Level 5 in counselling children and young people.
I have been practising counselling and psychotherapy since 2005 and in those 20 years I have attended extensive CPD events, webinars, and conferences, read literature and listen to podcasts in order to keep up to date in the ever changing world of therapy.
Where is the clinic based?
My clinic is in Farnham and is easily accessible by road and train with Farnham station a 10-minute walk away, and plenty of local parking available.
Can I meet for therapy online?
I offer face-to-face sessions from Farnham, but I am always happy to offer online work via Google Meet if this is a preference.
